TUESDAY, JULY 21 – “Wrap-up at Super Reader Park” – ALL REGISTERED AND COMPLETED PARTICIPANTS – 12:00 – Bring a sack lunch.  Prizes will be given.

The Sidney Public Library will be offering the following activities that correspond with the Summer Reading Program – “Every Hero Has a Story” for the week of July 13 – July 18.

1. TUESDAY, JULY 14 – Lunch at Super Reader Park – All Ages – 12:00 – Bring a sack lunch and listen to stories.  COMMUNITY HEROES – All Ages – 2:00 – 3:00.
2. WEDNESDAY, JULY 15 – Toddler Titans – Ages 2 & 3 – 10:30 – Story and fingerplays.  SUPER HERO ACADEMY – All Ages – 2:00 – 3:00. 
3. THURSDAY, JULY 16 – “Here I Come to Save the Day” – PS (Age 3) – 1st Grade – Two Sessions – 10:00 & 11:15.  Story about community helpers and related craft.  LAST DAY FOR – SUPER HERO ACADEMY – All Ages – 2:00 – 3:00.
4. THURSDAY, JULY 16 – TEENS – If you have completed a journal about a chosen family hero please bring it to the library along with the person or persons you would like to present it to – 3:30 to 5:30.
5. SATURDAY, JULY 18 – READING MUST BE COMPLETED – READING FOLDERS AND READING SLIPS MUST BE IN BY CLOSING TIME.

2. WEDNESDAY, JULY 8 – Toddler Titans – Ages 2 & 3 – 10:30 – Story and fingerplays.  SUPER HERO ACADEMY – All Ages – 2:00 – 3:00.
3. THURSDAY, JULY 9 – Superhero Fans Unite! – 4th – 6th Grade – 10:30 – Story and comic book wallet craft.  SUPER HERO ACADEMY – All Ages – 2:00 – 3:00.  TEENS – Unmask Your Creativity – Masquerade – (Mask making) – 3:30.

2. WEDNESDAY, JULY 1 – Toddler Titans – Ages 2 & 3 – 10:30 – Story and fingerplays.  SUPER HERO ACADEMY – All Ages – 2:00 to 3:00
3. THURSDAY, JULY 2 – “Superheroes to the Rescue” – 2nd – 3rd Grades – Two Sessions – 10:00 & 11:15 – Story and craft such as a superhero sock puppet.  SIGN UP FOR THIS PROGRAM IS REQUESTED.  SUPER HERO ACADEMY – All Ages – 2:00 to 3:00.  TEENS – JUST FOR FUN ENJOY A “SUPERHERO” MOVIE – 3:30.

1. TUESDAY, JUNE 23 – Lunch at Super Reader Park – All Ages – 12:00 – Bring a sack lunch and listen to stories.  “Make a Patriotic Star Wreath” activity – All Ages – 2:00 -3:00.
2. WEDNESDAY, JUNE 24 – Toddler Titans – Ages 2 & 3 – 10:30 – Story and fingerplays.  SUPER HERO ACADEMY – All Ages – 2:00 – 3:00.
3. THURSDAY, JUNE 25 – “Thank a Hero” – Youth 4th – 6th Grade  10:30 – Military writing activity and possible guest and craft such as a patriotic friendship pin.  (SIGN UP FOR THIS PROGRAM IS REQUESTED.)  SUPER HERO ACADEMY – All Ages – 2:00 – 3:00.
4. THURSDAY, JUNE 25 – TEENS – UNMASK YOUR CREATIVITY “Mini Comic Con” – Teens – 3:30.  Make your own comic strip.  Finished comic strips will be displayed.

2. WEDNESDAY, JUNE 17 – “Toddler Titans” – Ages 2 & 3 – 10:30 – Story and fingerplays.  “Super Hero Academy” – All Ages – 2:00 to 3:00.
3. THURSDAY, JUNE 18 – “Some Heroes Don’t Have Capes” – 2nd and 3rd Grade – Two Sessions – 10:00 & 11:15 – Story/stories about nurses, firefighters etc. and craft.  “Super Hero Academy” – All  Ages – 2:00 to 3:00.  “FOR THE TEENS”- MOVIE AFTERNOON – 3:30.

The 2015 Summer Reading Program is open to youth ages 2 through young adult, with programs, story times, prizes and more.  An Adult Reading program is also offered.

Join the Jr. Friends of the Library and enjoy the opportunity of helping another.  The next meeting will be Tuesday, May 19 at the Sidney Public Library beginning at 5:30.  (Discussion will center on helping with the summer reading program and future projects.)

Youth 7th – 12th grade are welcome!
