Makerspace:

The library is home to the Sidney Public Library Makerspace! The Makerspace has a Carvey CNC/Router, Cricut Vinyl Cutter, Epilog Zing Laser Cutter/Etcher,
and 3D Printer.

Library Card:

Any child or adult who resides, owns property or attends school in Cheyenne County is eligible for a subsidized library card. Local organizations may apply for a library card too. To receive a card, fill out a Borrower Registration form at the library. All you need is an ID and proof of your current address. A parent or legal guardian’s signature is required before a library card will be issued to a borrower under the age of 18. There is $5 charge to replace a lost card.

Checking out materials:

All items check out for two weeks, except movies, which circulate for one week.  Patrons may renew/extend the checkout time of an item twice unless the item has been reserved for another patron.

Checking out is fast and easy with a valid library card. A maximum of 20 items may be borrowed at a time.  The limitations are as follows:

Books: 20
Audio Books: 10
Movies: 5
Magazines: 5

Interlibrary Loan (ILL):

If there is a specific item you want that the Sidney Public Library does not have, it may be possible to borrow it through an Interlibrary Loan (ILL).  The fee per item is $4.00 to cover the cost of postage/shipping.
