Board Members Present:  Steve DeWitt, Jane Holechek, Tanya Lewis, Jen Ramsey, Shannon   Smelley.

Meeting called to order at: 4:00 pm.

Friends Report given by:  N/A

Approval of Minutes:  A motion was made by Shannon to approve the minutes of the December 12, 2022 meeting.  The motion was seconded by Tanya.
     APPROVED: ALL

Financial Reports and Bills:  A motion was made by Jen to approve the Bills for December 2022.  The motion was seconded by Shannon. 
     APPROVED: ALL

Old Business:

  • Merry Grinchmas was held on December 21st and was a success.
  • State Poet Matt Mason will be here January 16, 2023 at 6:00pm.
  • Despite the weather, the open house was well attended

New Business:

  • Steve DeWitt was welcomed as the newest Board member. 
  • A thank you card was read from the staff for the lunch the Board provided.
  • Cindy Osborne from Western Library System will stop by January 13, 2023
  • Amanda is preparing the Bibliostat Survey.
  • The Seed Library will officially open May 1, 2023.
  • Free Speech Teen Group will meet Thursday January 12, 2023, from 4-6.  Last meeting the group talked about voting and this time they will do Origami. 
  • Winter reading program that the Friends of the Library is sponsoring has 32 participants so far.  The program runs until March 20, 2023.

Approval of Minutes:  A motion was made by Jen to approve the minutes of the December 12, 2022 meeting. The motion was seconded by Tanya.

Financial Reports and Bills:  A motion was made by Shannon to approve the Bills of the December. The motion was seconded by Jen.
Approved: ALL

Old Business:

  • New Business:   Signature cards for the Foundation were discussed.
  • A motion was made by Jen to take proper documentation to Security First Bank and have Amanda added to the signature cards. The motion was seconded by Tanya.
    APPROVED: ALL
